How would you book Shelton Benjamin in 2016?

Yeah, you right, Ziggler/Ambrose is a much better plan :usure:

LOL as if that's what I'd suggest as the alternative. :wtf:

WWE has a problem with athletic-but-dull - Dolph and Apollo both fit in there. Dolph is one of the best bumpers in the biz, but I can't remember the last time he was actually... interesting. Apollo badly needs to grow a personality before chasing a belt... being a big fukker that can do a standing moonsault worked *just* well enough in NXT because he's clearly a pretty singular talent being discovered, but it won't hold long in the main brand. Shelton suffered from the same thing despite being an outstanding worker.

I hope they all prove me wrong and you right because all of them are more than capable of the actual wrestling bits.

A Villa Straylight.
Bring in MVP, turn Apollo heel, and make the three of them the anti New Day. Have them run through the smackdown teams and then book an elimination match at Survivor series against New Day
:yeshrug:
This could work. "What is this singing and dancing shyt?" Proceeds to destroy.

If.only this guy didn't have the personality of a piece of plywood....

Actually Shelton did have a passable personality especially compared to today's stars. The problem was WWE's failure to book minorities which led to him not having a discernible gimmick. He was always just a generic goodie/baddie which made his promos heavily scripted and limited his connection with the fans. Shelton has as much charisma/personality as guys like Finn, Sami, Brock, Seth, Roman (passable personalities that can be groomed to be great)

Interferes during Orton/Lesnar. Becomes a Heyman guy. Programs with Orton for most of the fall.

Or, on a smaller scale, shows up after an Apollo match, slaps the smile off his face. They program for two months, makes his way through the midcard and gets a main event match by Survivor Series.

So WWE doesn't have a horrible track record of booking minority, especially black, wrestlers in their company history :dwillhuh: So today's stars aren't by and large vanilla and unimaginative compared to the stars of yesterday :dwillhuh: So Shelton did have a gimmick besides athletic guy who was sometimes nice and sometimes evil :dwillhuh: So wrestlers like Finn, Brock, and Roman who are most of the time emotionless silents have more personality than Shelton :dwillhuh: fukk are you talking about

One of the most underrated and underused wrestlers ever.

Hopefully he does well this time around.

Where the fukk has he been? Did he do an Indy tour after his last E stint?
He's been in NJPW and NOAH.

He even beat Shinsuke Nakamura when they faced off.

I hope Mauro at least gives it a mention.
