Aside from AJ and Bray, Smackdown is lacking some main event heels, so I might bump Miz temporarily up for a title shot and have Shelton take control of the IC title before dropping it to Kallisto/Crews/Whoever the new person they want to push at 'Mania.

I've seen every episode damn near and he's a generic heel and was a generic face as well. Nothing stands out about his character at all aside from his accent and nickname

When I think of personality I think of angle being an arrogant, yet goofy American hero, rock being rock, Scsa being a drunk redneck, etc. and all of that showed in their promos. hell dean Ambrose has more personality than styles.

Make him a Heyman guy and push him in the main event taking the title from Dean and have him feud with a face AJ Styles

Book him as the cocky guy with all the tools in the world just never the right backing and someone believing in him in comes Paul Heyman saying he only represents real wrestlers /atlhletes (Brock /Cesaro) who have excelled in other lanes other than pro wrestling

Say Brock plugged him with heyman have Heyman say he talks in the ring like a real athletes save the talking for the entertainment guys while Benjamin just plays that Brock role in the background but they gotta play up him being a true amateur wrestler that's legit in the ring no goofy shyt

Shelton just take it out on the roster book him strong and legit no nonsense but cocky his motivation is getting what he always deserved and that's the world title

Heyman would get him over outside the ring and Benji can still work I'm sure


First feud with Orton saying how he deserved to be where Orton is but he ain't kiss HHH ass etc etc list beating HHH , ric flair etc

That could work matter of fact he doesn't show up until Summer Slam and cost Randy the match. That way Brock doesn't just squash Randy, they have a feud to build on from the past, and Shelton becomes a Heyman guy.

Give him some matches against jobbers and midcarders first of course to build him up and see how the crowd reacts to him. If they are behind him he should then get a run with the IC title while eventually battling whatever face has the world title. fukk all the mic work cause he aint the best but far from the worst and just let him get 15-20 minutes every week against someone and Shelton can make some noise.

Put him with Heyman, so Paul can say he has a client on each brand. This also helps Shelton because he's a charisma vacuum, and Heyman can talk for him like he does with Brock. Let him first take the midcard by storm, beat the miz for the strap at backlash.

A 1 on 1 match is held to find a contender for his belt, in which a heel midcarder OR a debuting NXT guy interrupts the match because he's mad he wasn't chosen (heel midcarder) or he wanted to make an impact on his first night (debuting NXT guy).

Benjamin comes out and gets in the guy's face, then a brawl breaks out between the 4, which makes Bryan come out and make a 4 man ladder match at survivor series. This is a perfect match to get Shelton over and preform crazy spots.

Heyman picks up American Alpha as another client, and they join Benjamin to create Team America, Team Alpha, or The American Standard (some shytty team name). This will basically work like team angle did, with AA winning the tag belts and Benjamin being the IC champ.
