The south is ridiculously hard to unionize. I've helped several Atlanta area Starbucks and an Apple Store in their unionizing efforts. We were at it for a whole year and only 1 Starbucks narrowly won the vote the unionize and they still haven't gotten a contract yet,

A union is optimal but if the workers feel like they are being treated well by the company then it’s going to be hard to unionize. Also a lot non union manufacturing places have elected representatives that negotiate with management.
A union has to actually show what they will do that will be worth 600 dollars a year from every employee

No one has said otherwise. That’s why union membership is voted.
However the black and white issue is states like yours that are anti union and pass laws to incentivize it.
Also, a lot of these places, these factories are the only jobs available that offer decent salaries. It’s the same argument with employee-covered healthcare. Most people say they are happy with it because the alternative is no health care and no job.

What anti union laws does the state have? You can’t prevent people from unionizing.
If anyone was following this UAW never ever had the votes. They got the minimum 30% needed to hold an election and moved forward
