The VP is largely a ceremonial role and has been for as long as I can remember. People assigning her these mythical powers do so in bad faith. Anything she's pushing is what Biden wants pushed.
I don't think she's ever been nor will be a serious presidential candidate because she doesn't have a natural base. She is a senator with a progressive voting record, but progressives hate her because she was a DA and AG who didn't think her job was to keep people out of prison. And the moderates who might gravitate towards that are

Here’s the fukked up thing. It’s hard to know how much of this is actually legitimate. I have read all of the stories and attacks on Kamala, but there seems to be no real substance there about what she’s actually doing wrong. Now we all know she’s awkward as hell in unscripted interviews and has weird political instincts, but any of the behind the scenes looks never really say what she’s done literally wrong. The attacks are clearly motivated to get her out of the paint , but the details just aren’t there so even a skeptical eye such as mine starts to get convinced that where there’s smoke there’s fire.Yea, two things:
