I consider myself more of a centrist & view Republicans as an existential threat to this country, what do I get out of seeing Biden fail? I'm pretty sure I was one of the first people on here that acknowledged he was the best candidate to defeat Trump. But this was a big fukk up by him, big enough that I think it will cost Dems 2022. The Republican machine is going to tie this around his neck like Benghazi and promise full investigations if they take back Congress. Without a fully productive 4 years, I don't envision him winning in '24.
Fair enough. But Benghazi isn't why Clinton lost. And legitimizing the Taliban isn't why Trump lost. Most Americans are tired of being in Afghanistan more than they are concerned over the lives of 16 soldiers dutifully losing their lives while in service eof the greater good.
I agree that Republicans are an existential threat and they've done a good job fukking things up at home. Biden's success will ultimately hinge on how he performs over his domestic agenda.
Maybe it's just general fatigue, but I don't see the point in getting riled up over every single issue. He's going to have good months and bad months. But it looks different when you put it all together and not just the latest24hr news cycle.
I forgot who it was, maybe
@Hood Critic, but someone posted a long Twitter thread of all of Trump's scandals over four years and it reminded me just how little people cared when it was all said and done.
Sorry for rambling or mischaracterizing you.
