These voting right speeches don't mean shyt. I'm sick of Democrats being pussies and stuck in a limb when Republicans weld power like mad men every chance they get.
Biden can call for voting rights bills to get passed all he wants, but he knows that requires a fillbuster change that he and many Senate Democrats don't want. So they are going to sit back and let Republican continue to steam roll them like hoes with no answer.
Therefore he's just giving lip service and stringing along gullible people. I guess that's called being a politician.

Really shows how performative and fake this is. We waged war during the Civil War. Yet can't break a filibuster, and you want to compare this to THAT?
I don't even think nuking the filibuster is a great idea but in the context of Biden's speech, if he is unwilling to do it why does anything he said matter. It doesn't. In terms of my views though...while I'm not opposed to breaking the filibuster I think people are being sold a bill of goods on this. Republicans will win back the senate one day. And they'll have 51 votes to shyt can whatever voting rights democrats pass. Not to mention the Supreme Court. All of this distracts from the real problem: the only solution is local on the state level. You need to win governor seats, and have enough seats in state senates+houses to pass voting rights bills. Because clearly a federal law is going to be destroyed - either by senate republicans in the short term, or the Supreme Court in the long term.
