The solution is to for Biden to lean on people and use the power he has. I’d rather see him go out using his strength, than on his knees pleading with sociopaths.
He has to deal with razor-thin majorities in both houses of Congress. I feel that he should be more stern with Manchin, Sinema and any other fickle Dem but at the end of the day, they will make their own decisions.

If Democrats had larger majorities in Congress, I would be much more critical of Biden. Still, things aren't done yet. I'll see what happens by the end of the year and maybe change my view.

Look, it’s right now 2021 and outside of a really good stimulus bill passed through reconciliation, Biden hasn’t gotten anything major passed. If they can’t get the voting rights bills passed, then this was a waste as the GOP will be back next year with a vengeance.

we can't , were literally over a trillion dollars in debt to china

they own us low key :francis:

The debt to them hurts them more than it hurts us. The Fed owns more of the debt than China and Japan owns just as much. It'll hurt our economy but it'll cripple theirs.

There's also the fact that even if they call for payment they couldn't collect. They got the world's biggest ocean and the largest Navy and two of the largest air forces between Beijing and DC.

Dems trying to run out the clock up 3 with 8 minutes to go. :smh:

Been around a lot of young people the last week while doing graduation stuff for friends and family, as things stand I can tell the youth is not showing up in the midterms. They’ve noticed how these clowns are trying to go the entire summer without doing anything major.

they devalue their currency, pump disinformation and propaganda, mistreat their citizens, pollute the environment to a disastrous degree and buoy other bad actors globally
with no other context, I wonder what country the majority of the people in the world would think is being referenced here

"We must elect centrists, they're the only ones who can get things done.

Also, no one can get things done. Nothing better is possible. There were and are no options. Pay no attention to the polls that show 75% of the public supports actual progressive change. No. That's not for you. Shhhh. Only the donors matter. Also, make sure to keep voting for us."

Not so much a Biden question, more of a Dems one but what are they actually passing thru Congress at the moment….or are they pissing away having the majority again like they did in the first half of Barry’s term?

As long as the filibuster is in place they can't really pass anything other than reconciliation once a year. You're never going to get a 2/3rds vote on anything.

And Manchin is deadset against removing the filibuster, so the Democratic Senate is basically a lame duck session from the jump. Only thing they can do is fill SC seats if they open up.:francis:

probably the US because our media is widespread and there is more of a spotlight on us

but americans are not buying land in china to just do nothing with. we are not in their housing market driving up prices. we are not paying $2 an hour for 60-80 hour work weeks to drive lower costs and push other countries out of manufacturing goods and exports

if you think the US is more of a problem globally than China then youre wrong. :hubie:

seems like your issue is with capitalism and not china

I don't have a history book handy, but I think between the two one had more to do with forcing capitalism and imperialism on the rest of the world
