After September, Congress won’t pass much major legislation as they go on their breaks and start gearing up for elections. That’s why the first 100 days of an administration are emphasized. After that 100 days, it’s hard to pass anything of consequence.
Biden ran on creating some form of a public option on healthcare and he has not advocated for that once in three months. He set a deadline of May 25th for the George Floyd Policing act, that’s not happening. There is a great chance none of the voting rights bills will get through by the end of summer.
All of that, “I can get things done,” talk he espoused on the campaign trail was cap because he hasn’t gotten anything done outside of reconciliation. (The Asian hate crime bill is the only other major bill)
