personally I'm scared of the idea because McConnell fukked us for 8 years on this. ...but...

Democrats are damned if they do, damned if they don't :manny:

Removing the filibuster might come back to haunt them next election. But if they don't then they'll fail to pass anything significant (outside of the stimulus) and get wiped out in 2022 anyway.

It won’t. What policies should Dems be in fear of republicans passing with a simple majority

As far as 2022, a Republican majority is just going to obstruct the rest of Biden's presidency and decrease the odds of him being reelected.

Now imagine Trump or DeSantis wins in 2024, and now the GOP has the House/Senate with no filibuster. shyt would be bad news. :snoop:

It’s mind boggling, though not shocking, that not a single Republican voted for the Covid bill in the house.

With the exception of tax cuts and deregulation, does the GOP have any other legislative priorities?

Nope not for awhile but trump came along and put batteries on their backs and that is why they can’t get away from him...they have nothing to offer to majority of this country.

Nothing actually. It's the right move politically and we have way more infected people so :yeshrug:

The main move would be to open up the COVID-19 Vaccine IP so it can be produced around the world...
This would help more, but Biden has to protect big pharmas greatest come up.

The US has 1.3 billion doses of the vaccines. We can spread it to Mexico and poorer nations in Latin America. People would be against it because Americans are selfish people, but when you go to Cancun and pick up a crazy Covid mutation and bring it back here, then we will regret that decision . But Americans are selfish people.

no issue with sharing the vaccine.. but if there's grandmothers and grandfathers and people with underlying conditions or essential workers that for whatever reason (could even be just a state/local distribution lapse) have not yet been able to get it and word got out that Biden shares with Mexico.... shyt.... that'd be a bad bad look for Joe. So they gotta do the "America First" optic

Don’t deny that either, but humanity>politics. We have to start thinking about humanity first.

Especially since it’s a benefit to have our neighbors vaccinated.
