:what:. The governor literally vetoed a bill that would have got gig workers more pay and protections, all because he got punked by Uber and didn't want to call their bluff.

All that "0n3 s3aT mAj0r1tY!" shyt is cool and definitely better than the alternative, but at the end of the day corporate Dems are still gonna corporate Dem :camby:
So the governor vetoing one bill negates all the amazing things they've done. Got it thanks for you're input.

That list is lengthy — and expensive. With the help of a $17.5 billion surplus (that would have been $19 billion had the DFL not changed the way inflation was included mid-session), the 2023-2025 budget will be 40% higher than the current budget.

Democrats codified abortion rights, paid family and medical leave, sick leave, transgender rights protections, drivers licenses for undocumented residents, restoration of voting rights for people when they are released from prison or jail, wider voting access, one-time rebates, a tax credit aimed at low-income parents with kids, and a $1 billion investment in affordable housing including for rental assistance.

Also adopted were background checks for private gun transfers and a red-flag warning system to take guns from people deemed by a judge to be a threat to themselves or others. DFL lawmakers banned conversion therapy for LGBTQ people, legalized recreational marijuana, expanded education funding, required a carbon-free electric grid by 2040, adopted a new reading curricula based on phonics, passed a massive $2.58 billion capital construction package and, at the insistence of Republicans, a $300 million emergency infusion of money to nursing homes.
But hey fukk them because the governor vetoed one bill right @AquaCityBoy

Nice strawman. I literally said it was better than the alternative. This is Cac Mamba levels of bad faith posting. :camby:

All I'm saying people need to calm the fukk down before acting like it's some progressive utopia. It's only getting as far as the corporate Dems let it get. This should not be a controversial point.

You can handwave the governor screwing over workers if you want to, but I certainly won't.

It's just annoying to listen to all that negativity when they're doing great things up there. I mean Christ they passed a ton of good progressive legislation and ur in here being a fukking negative Nancy. I'm just not fukking interested in hearing that shyt. I live in Florida dude, I'd kill for 1/3 of the shyt they did in Minnesota. Minnesota is a victory for progressivism and democracy as a whole. Just enjoy it and stop the fukking whining and this is me of all fukking people saying this so take a step back.

Yes it's bad he vetoed it, yes it's fukking bullshyt and just lobbying but christ man. We get enough shytty news lets just enjoy what's going on there.

No one said that, but you.

The point is they used a one vote advantage to pass a lot of important policy In the legislature, while congress can’t/won’t work with a slim advantage.

You obviously don't read twitter.

And that's great, but the governor is still a corporate Dem and will act in corporate interests, and has just proven that. :yeshrug:

No, that’s why I respond to what people say on here and not random tweets that weren’t mentioned in this thread.

I agree with the bolded. The governor portion wasn’t the point of @Godless Liberal CEO’s post.

Which post? The one with the tweet from before the governor's veto? :stopitslime:

What are you doing?

This was his post:

You said this after:

His post was clearly about the legislature and you decided to say, “Governor Tim Wallz” sucks. Yes, yes he does, but that wasn’t the point of the tweet. This isn’t hard to follow or understand.
You can clearly see the times of the tweets and see that the tweet he posted was before the tweet about the governor's veto. Pay attention, please.

Yes, because the criticism was of the governor. Not like the legislature needs him to sign bills or anything. :stopitslime:

Thanks for confirming that you replied to his post. That’s what I said and what he also said, lol.

Again, his post said the legislature is doing things with a one vote majority. Tim Wallz sucks for vetoing the labor protections, but that wasn’t the point of the original tweet. I really don’t know what you are arguing. except to just argue.

Yes. I am confirming I replied to the post that I quoted. Do you have any more big brained responses or are you actually going to be serious? :stopitslime:

What part of "that tweet was from before the governor's veto" is so difficult for you to understand?

You quoted me with this stupid shyt in an attempt to deflect criticism from a fukking corporate Democrat of all things. Be fukking for real. :camby:

The part that has to constantly explain that was irrelevant to his point.

This is a big brained response That ignores the point of his post.
