I've spoken on this. @Rhakim wasted 3k words saying nothing. :patrice:

You're so fukking ignorant you just proved all my points and somehow count that as a win. :dead:

1. Like I told you, personal presidential charisma has minimal impact on the other races. Just like I told you that Clinton and Obama used personal likeability to get reelected yet their party still suffered across the board, Biden's unlikability won't be the decisive factor in downballot races either.

2. What keeps a huge # of voters away is that they want the Democrats to DO MORE. Exactly what your post attributes to why Biden has low approval yet certain candidates can still prosper.

3. Fetterman is the exact sort of anti-establishment, pro-poor, leftist candidate we've been talking about....and look at his lead in a purple state.

I didn't see the back and forth, but just wanna co-sign this bold. Fetterman is the best example I've seen of dodging the wedge issues that could hurt him with the locals while pushing a lot of good progressive messages and he BODIED an establishment "rising star" with that approach. Progressives can win purple districts as long as they don't wade into wedge issues that are particularly painful for their localities (I honestly don't get how this concept isn't more recognized with Bernie who wasn't great on guns but did everything else well for the progressive wing...and New York's progressives dodge the Israel issues more than they confront them too).
