You're right on some level, but there's not that much Biden can do with Congress being the way it is and Manchinema controlling what can pass the Senate.

Getting a younger SC justice in place is a minor win. But yeah, at this point it's looking like the GOP is going to control the govt for a long time after this term.

The thing is, anything done by executive orders can easily be undone by the next guy. One of the first things Trump did when he got into office was undo Obama's EOs.

Not to mention the Supreme Court is leaning right and will take any opportunity to strike down Biden's orders if they can. Don't get me wrong, I'd like Biden to use more EOs but it's not a fix for the underlying problem with Congress. Trying to use executive orders because Congress won't do their job could easily backfire.

Doing popular executive orders will make Biden and Dems extremely popular so they'll remain in office. And even if a Republican DOES get in, they can't do anything about the debt Biden forgave and they won't be able to reverse the extremely popular policies. If Dems EVER pass universal health care the Republicans would NEVER be able to repeal that.

Lastly, even if his EO's get struck down... so what? He'll look like a hero fighting for the people and it'll still win him voters. This ain't that hard. Make the people like you and you will win

Joe Biden has already done his job, now its time to look past him and get a candidate for 2024 before its too late. I'm tired of him and Hunter. It's true that a majority doesnt care but biden didnt win by much. It doesnt need to cause many swing voters to stay home for it to matter. It doesnt have to be disqualifying to joe for it to cost him an election. I'm not sure that it will but it's certainly not a good look
