I've heard Japan has good worker rights..the top 3 economies have terrible worker rights (USA, Japan, China)
Going from 5 days a week, as we have, to 4 days a week, seems good to me.
Even president Nixon thought that we would be going towards a 4 day work week but it has yet to happen here in the states. The 4 day work week movement is getting stronger overseas.Going from 5 days a week, as we have, to 4 days a week, seems good to me.
That's a good thing for global US companies, as they'll be more likely to adopt that standard here, which will ultimately influence the domestic workforce overall.Even president Nixon thought that we would be going towards a 4 day work week but it has yet to happen here in the states. I was reading that some country that adopted this actually saw increased productivity. People appreciated the extra day off, and were less burned out, and worked harder during the 4 day workweek as a result. It's just an anecdote from one country, but intuitively that makes a ton of sense to me.
meanwhile in the US, people that could really benefit from this would argue against it on the grounds that it's communismIt was Ireland, but a bunch of countries have piloted it to good results. The UK is piloting it right now
Four-day working week pilot launched in UK

They may have one of the worst in terms of work culture. They're expected to stay very late, can't leave until managers do, dedicate to your job and company, shytty social life, and all of that is quite unproductive to actual work. They have this whole salary man stereotype. Even the Japanese companies in America have the same culture which is why I avoid Japanese companies when applying for a job.I've heard Japan has good worker rights..
