Off topic to the thread but I hate casuals in real life way more than on the seum. Had a dude at my job last week tell me he thinks Brons done and Cavs are gonna "either get swept or win a game tops" after 1 Pacers victory. Then another dude had the nerve to try and waste my time detailing hos the Thunder will get to the finals once "playoff melo" comes out

Where'd all this "Playoff ____" shyt come from anyways brehs? Outside of playoff rondo and maybe 1 or 2 other players I havent heard those kind of nicknames before this playoffs

I think it's really hit a head in these playoffs because of Rondo and Paul George in their Game 1's. When Paul George put up 36 in Game 1 and the reporter referred to him as "Playoff P" in the post-game, it kind of ignited the flame and then "Playoff Rondo" came from people recalling how Rondo would come up big in the past with the Celtics and, more recently, how he was getting up and went up 2-0 with the Bulls last year before getting injured in the Boston series.

If we're being honest, Skip Bayless is responsible for a lot of the worst casual talking head points in sports fandom. I've always loved "First Take", but it's glaringly obvious.
