I've gotten my last four jobs without a cover letter.
Increased my salary 40k in the past 5 years also.
God bless! That's dope. Cover letters aren't all that useful unless you're really dealing with those that check for them.

Wow, well that's pretty amazing! To be honest I don't really have a lot of working experience, I used to favour doing voluntary work instead. But lately I've been making quite a few applications online and they all seem to ask for cover letters which I never upload and I've yet to hear back from any... So I figured it was the lack of cover letter.
Have you applied for jobs online and gotten them even without a cover letter?

youI took your advice on an IT job for Morgan Stanley today.
Hit him with the
"I only have one. What is the skill set necessary to become the best employee possible?"
Might have worked he didn't ask one technical question, sent me straight for finger printing.
I hope
Edit : got the damn job.
Does the book go into transforming your resume from a very specific work environment to more generalized stuff? I want to switch fields but my work experience right now is so specific.
So don't wear a nice suit?
I was planning on losing some more weight, so that I could fit into my suits, before going on interviews.
Good info though. Definitely taking notes.
In Google Chrome there is a form filler that automatically remembers text fields so no need to rewrite everything out again. It's truly a hellish process though man. Typing in the key words for the role into the indeed search bar, reading a length azz job description to see if its appropriate, applying for the role, uploading your resume to the application, filling in the exact same damn details which could be acquired from the resume as you register for their careers page. Waiting days for a response which sometimes is not given, waiting several days/weeks for an interview to get scheduled, endless prep for the interview, another few days waiting to find out if you were successful, your bank account going into survival mode if not.

What about directly emailing company executives/owners or HR?I've worked as an employment specialist and in management and I can confirm this is all good advice. I like the "interview" section. So many qualified people loose out on jobs because they just lack those soft skills on interacting with people. Unemployed brehs, don't sleep on this thread.
