Yep Terminator is just as much as an action

Terminator is an action movie stop it :mjlol: it's just as much as action movie as T-2 :pachaha:, T-2 simply had the budget, which resulted in bigger sequences. It was also a longer film.

"The action segment you are talking about is no different than Michael Meyers and Jason chasing people and being shot out" :upsetfavre::what: .

That segment is something that wouldn't look out of place in a Die Hard film, it also happens before the halfway mark of the film(before the big shootout at the police station). I'm talking about the scene where Reese and The Terminator tear up the club with bullets, which is immediately followed by a car chase, another shootout and then another car chase. You then get the police shootout and then the long stretch at the end which has all of the above. You also have the battle in the future scene as well, another action scene. It's an action movie.

You don't get it

I guess because Jason was boxing a guy on a roof top and knocked his head off in Friday the 13th part 8 that makes the movie a martial arts film

the look of the film is a horror movie, they movie tries to scare you in the manner of a horror film, there is none of that in T2

Terminator being a horror film is a known fact, James Cameron even said so because his buddies like John Carpenter were making those types of films at the time

Nightmare on Elm street had people fighting Friday with Martial Arts, does it make it a Kung-fu movie

you obviously dont understand film, and don't know what THEME is

And i'm with @Master Teacher on this one. Terminator 1 is an unconventional horror movie. You can literally replace Arnold with Michael Meyers and call the movie 'Halloween In Time" and take away 1-2 scifi elements and visually and feelwise the movie works. They did it so well it transcended the genre though and became its own beast, like Alien.

They second one is pure action. T-1000 stalking John Connor is in this case a plot device to bridge action scenes.

can we get a smiley of Arnold going into that liquid metal
NO! Even today if I watch the movie that scene still brings me close to tears :to: The effects were ahead of their time and still hold up to this day T2 is a certified classic, and I never thought about T1 being a horror movie. Good observation.

:snoop: Terminator has multiple action scenes throughout the film, multiple gun battles and high octane car chases. It's a Sci-Fi action film with an action hero in Michael Biehn's character :snoop:. The second movie is the same but swaps out Biehn with Schwarzenegger.

You still don't get, gun and car chases are not exclusive to action movies goddamn how dense are you

the music and the texture of the film give it away, the entire vibe is nothing like T2

Spielberg's movie Duel is nothing but one big ass car chase, it's not an Action film

if you can't see the difference between the two films you are moron

Terminator is classified as Sci-fi/horror that's the genre its in, look it up
