not only that, but Kubrick is an insane perfectionist. All of the equipment and peripherals they used were made to be convincing, accurate and plausible. They consulted Nasa, Boeing, IBM etc.
Kubrick the Gawd

shyt was so impressive that it convinced the U.S. government to hire Based Stanley to direct the moon landing

I watched the blu-ray on a big-ass screen a while back, pretty much a small movie auditorium. Those 2+ hours are an experience. When that ending comes up with the Star Child floating in space, overlooking Earth, as the music plays, you feel that shyt. You're in your own little comfortable bubble and then the theater lights come up and no one says anything and you know you've just taken a trip. I mean, this is the way everybody talks about the movie but it's really just incredible.

shyt is visually perfect I'm literally sitting here trying to look for flaws or any parts that look visually fake. How does a movie from 1968 literally look better than movies coming out today? This wax got me appreciating this movie on a deep level. My mind is blown trying to understand how he made this so perfect visually. The space docking sequence was impeccably done. The Blu-Ray looks magnificent on my 94 inch TV.

It's like the first Jurassic Park. It came out in 1993 but that shyt looks amazing, and more realistic than the sequels or a lot of movies nowadays.
