visually its impeccable.. just so far ahead of its time its ridiculous..the only "flaw" is that the storyline has been bitten so much to an extent from halo 1 to moon etc that it doesn't feel fresh in retrospect if that makes any sense.. the whole ai turning against us storyline. don't think you can hold that against it but for someone watching it today it'd feel somewhat cliche in that regard

I've never seen this flick but I'm going to order the blu ray just off the stregnth of this thread.

shyt is visually perfect I'm literally sitting here trying to look for flaws or any parts that look visually fake. How does a movie from 1968 literally look better than movies coming out today? This wax got me appreciating this movie on a deep level. My mind is blown trying to understand how he made this so perfect visually. The space docking sequence was impeccably done. The Blu-Ray looks magnificent on my 94 inch TV.

The reasons it looks so good is because the entire movie was shot on 70mm film (70mm or 65mm film is similar to IMAX):

I've never seen this flick but I'm going to order the blu ray just off the stregnth of this thread.

You won't regret it, breh. One of the best sci-fi movies of all time. i haven't expressed enough love for Kubrick on here, and I'm gonna have to change that.
