It’s not surprising at all. Sexxy Red is a flawed rapper, but is really just a hood chick rapping in the vain of La Chat/Gangsta Boo, plus has had good production way more often than not. Her shyt bumps and it’s the reason a lot of dudes aren’t embarrassed to listen to [most] of her music.

Ice Spice on the other hand straight up can’t rap and is a terrible performer. People have been listening to her ironically like Lil B. They support her simply being a nice person getting money but she has a lot of enablers not realizing she sucks. That NY drill ain’t it.

Yup, Sexxy Red is endearing to a lot of folks and has a big personality, it's easy to get popular with that whether you're good or not. Ice Spice's stardom is owed to the combo of irony poisoning and her looks; otherwise she's dull as dishwater in every sense of the word. That aloof NY shyt only works these days when you still have talent and swagger.

ice spice is produced and directed by dj enuffs unoriginal son who steals sauce from the NY drill scene and that scene has been struggling lately so she has no new sounds to steal so they've resorted to nicki minaj cosplay for her latest single and it's flopping because she lost barb support
