True. TNA was off Spike and Dixie was still in charge, Cody was still in WWE, only person thinking about anything like AEW was Tony Khan, MLW wasn’t around. It was WWE or ROH if you wanted to make money.
I should run it back to see the results.
Help poor Kenny somehow get his balls back with a tag team of some sort. I mean on the level of the "2 man power trip"
I could see it just because it'd be an easy way to get Scurll some heat - beating on OC while the Best Friends get handled by Butcher & Blade. Also, OC's lackadaisical demeanor could be a good way to train the audience immediately on not just him, but Marty, just by juxtaposing them against each other. Scurll beating down OC (who still has his hands in his pockets, of course) for an uncomfortably long amount of time would probably the only thing that would keep him from getting cheered as it stands right now.
Hell, I'd go all in (heh) with it and have Aubrey go to pull him off OC, and let Scurll give her a shove. Let her sell it by going down on her ass - hit him with a kayfabe fine, have him not give a shyt. Between beating on OC and pushing Aubrey, that'd get dude some actual heat. Especially if this is a new stable - gotta give them different targets and something to do immediately so it's not stables for the sake of themselves, and keep them from overlapping.
Scurll coming in to head a bunch of a$$holes, but not the irreverent, charming douchebags that the Inner Circle are; but legitimate old school tools could be money. I'd like to see that.

In NXT, dude's just British Adam Cole with a parasol. Doubt he'd go to NXTUK; Walter's tracksuit jacket is damn near as big as Scurll.
Most of these guys grew up as WWF/E stans. For many it's still the end goal. Add that to the money they can get then I don't think you can rule it out.
But if AEW can't sign Marty then some questions have to be asked.

It wouldn't be if their champion wasn't Austrian Keith Lee with murder-strikes instead of moonsaults.
You can't run 5'8~ Marty Scurll as a heel in a climate like NXT UK. Plus, the feed system from UK to Raw/Smackdown is effectively non-existent. Doubt he goes to languish there, and he'd get eaten alive in current NXT. He offers nothing they don't already have but rain protection

youre crazy if you think that he would even go to NXT UK, he'd be in NXT on USA and have a similar comeup to adam cole, he's arguably a hotter commodity than adam cole was coming out of free agency and they'd give him a huge push for the sole reason of keeping him away from AEW
i saw that shirt and thought Young Thug had his own wrestling company for a second

I'm tempted to say Marty should debut and save The Elite from another Inner Circle beatdown and then turn the next week or in the Elite vs. Inner Circle "Match Beyond", but since they've already had two people turn on Cody this year alone, we don't need to see it again so soon.
Should probably just debut as a heel declaring war on The Elite (and keep him separate from associating with MJF/Wardlow or The Inner Circle) and continuing the "all my friends are dead" thing. Then you can do your full blown Elite reunion by this time next year.
