How should they book Marty Scurll’s debut in AEW?

vignettes would be cool after the initial debut but when he first appears it should definitely be a surprise

AEW’s core fan base already knows who he is so they don’t need to hype him with vignettes pre-debut

All AEW will ever have is a core fanbase if they're the only ones in on it, IMHO.

You can't blame me for not being familiar with the characters, AEW doesn't introduce anybody.

Casuals (to AEW) like myself are forced to fill things in, which is why I'd caution against yet another cold debut.

At this point I don’t think “the bag” is as big to these guys as the we like to think it is.

There are so many other factors that have to come with it too like creative control (creativity), culture (would they vibe right with the company, office, and locker room), travel, and freedom.

At this point cats like Young Bucks and Joey Ryan have exposed that you don’t need to go to the E to make big money and be successful.


More people are more familiar with the top indie guys than all the 205 guy, half the NXT roster and most of the lower mid to lower card WWE guys

They do introduce folks, they just dont have a network and 5-7hrs of weekly tv plus another new hour to do so.

They do it via social media which you can either choose or not choose to check out.

I agree with you but I'll never forget starting a thread about whether people would rather be an Indie Main Eventer or WWE Midcarder. 70% of the people who responded chose WWE midcarder, most wrestlers are wrestling fans so I wouldn't be surprised if this was the goal of most guys.

Technically they don't "count" All In cause Tony and Kenny weren't part of the management part but we all know it might as well have been the first show.

I'm not worried about it counting. I remember seeing him in an AEW match before. I just don't remember the show or the opponent.

They can find time on TV, they did for Cody and Jericho and The Dark Order. Maybe Marty will be part of The Dark Order.
