You shouldnt be looking for the government to do anything for you. If you cant rely on yourself, youre nothing but a grown child.
If you depend on the government, you will be ran by the government (i.e. the current situation in MO).

the President mainly functions as the glorified spokesperson to whichever party they are a part of, and pretty much just follows which ever movement is most part of the policy, I think Obama would love to do more on race issues but the corporates and Conservative leaning elements of the Dems would put a stop to that shyt real quick.
basically Obama isn't one of those Presidents with enough popular support most likely from within his party to do really really controversial shyt
