No, there are systemic blocks, as in school funding being cut in poor areas. I don't care about the 1 or 2 success story when the system itself is designed to have the majority fail, but hey, you and your girlfriend didn't go to college, big whoop.

With all this bullshyt "liberal/Conservative" talk, the Government is supposed to work for the people, PERIOD. I hope you take private roads to work and don't use highways or any public roads, matter of fact just don't stop at traffic lights anymore.
1. I realize a lot of people dont understand how important self education is...but its the most important thing for each individual. Schools are funded by tax dollars...black areas tend to not create much tax revenue...so yes, those schools will be underfunded. Which connects to my first point about the need to have blacks more involved in entrepreneurship.
Its been estimated that in the near future nearly 50% of the workforce will be freelance. A college education cant help you from that.
2. You example doesnt disprove my point. A baseball player is not the same as a community w/ a strong economic base. A baseball player is a high paid employee.
3. Roads, street lights etc... are not what people are talking about when they say Obama should help black people (though the roads in Chicago are shyt). What exactly can the government do for you that you cant do yourself? Again, if you depend on someone...what are you going to do when they take it away?
If your child is in a poor school...how come you cant tutor them? you can learn anything on the internet.
You have to take responsibility for your life...no matter what. You cant depend on other people to help you, because that shyt is never coming.
Why do you still expect the government to help you?
You say "the government is for the people"...the majority of the population disagrees w/ how you think on racial issues (and are white), so what people do you think they are going to serve?
im actually shocked youre arguing
against self reliance.
