like i said, there are a lot of entities tapping our pockets when we leave the house. And a lot of this "yall need to go back to work" shyt is lowkey coming from people that were hardwired into you leaving the house everyday. It has very little to do with work ethic or laziness.

they just want people to suffer
all of my friends and family have lost stress, and are living happier and healthier lives with this change.
this is like fighting with people who fought for keeping slavery during the industrial revolution.

The LIRR lots are empty. As are the trains.

There's even parking available at my subway stop.

The express buses are empty even with reduced service.

Terrible time for the East side Access project to finish up.

That being said, fukk LIRR and their high prices and racist conductors.

maybe this will entice them into upgrading to high-speed rail because a 3-hour commute would be even more unbearable knowing you can do the job from home.

Just a throwback to my commuter rail travels back in the day and the conductors racial profiling. Too many stories. Things have changed, but I still assume the conductors are racist, even the non-yt ones.

Same thing is happening in the Bay Area the trains here are at 25% of the prepandemic levels. I use to take the train to SF and it cost me $14 round trip, roughly $280 a month. The 3 hour round trip to work was the biggest waste of time. The biggest win from the pandemic has been the work from home. I just checked and you have more people taking the train on weekends than during the weekday. lol
