Brehs how come we don't have a Literary Thread on here?

I saw the trailer for that new Tom Cruise Jack Reacher film so I decided to read the first one in the series. That shyt was mad formulaic, but it was hilarious seeing Tom Cruise in the trailer surrounded by five dudes and he was shortest one of them and in the book Reacher being a 6' 5" 250 pound man.

2>1>3

I hope they do the second book justice when they make the movie, but we all know they won't. They didn't even really do the first book justice.

Interesting, in my opinion it was 1>3>2
I liked how the third was a little different than the first & even second. The second I thought was basically a rehash of the first and predictable, up until the QQ.

You're never too old to read anything.

I still love reading my RL Stine and Christopher Pike's collection.

But :pacspit: at Hunger Games and Twilight. These new age tween fiction are so :trash:

Do it breh, but it definitely needs to be stickied. That shyt would fall off of face of the earth if it wasn't sticky, you got dudes making ten xbox v. ps3 threads in 2012 :scusthov:.

I'm re-reading 1984 and then I'm about to go in on Berlin Noir trilogy (that detective, mystery piff). And then hopefully I'll try to get into Bond books, heard those Bourne books were boring as fukk.

Is it anything like Battle Royale? :manny:

From what I remember it's similar. However I saw Battle Royale in highschool class :smugbiden: and was sitting in the back so I couldn't catch all the subtitles :manny:. I also just saw the Battle Royale movie, didn't read the book. There is more romance in Hunger Games but it's pretty much the same authoritarian gov't, battle/games. But you should give it a go if you liked Battle Royale.

@VicMackey415 @Mikey2Toes @nyknick

Is 2 just as good as the first book?

I'm invested like a motherfukka now...I want Katniss to get with my nikka Gale though

No Spoilers please :damn:

Never too old to feed the brain.
Was thinking about reading some of R.A Salvatore books.
The Hunger Games could very well be part of Philosophy genre.
Due the setting and way of life.

*goes back to reading Utopia*
