That’s subjective and purely up to the person buying the ring. If I made what I make now when I got married I would have spent more.

I would hate yall coming in to buy engagement rings at the store I work at. $10K gets you a 1.5ct natural and that’s the minimum. Lab is like $3-5K bands alone cost a few hundred or more

Yeah, my future wife or girlfriend is going to be the laughingstock of her friend's group because she's getting the cheapest shyt I can pass off as luxury, and her wedding is going to be just as cheap.

I'm not spending big money on a fukking ring for someone else and a one-off event like a wedding. That shyt is absurd.

Several things in life are obvious cash grabs, and both of those happen to be it...

The fact that simply saying "...I do" to someone else in order to become a legal union is such a big deal in society is fukking madness.

I agree. Weddings are the biggest waste of money. I have no problem spending $5-10k for a weeding ring though.

Looking back, if lab grown were more of a thing back when we got married, I would have gotten that.

The size/cost of the diamond/ring has no correlation or relevance to the strength of the marriage.

When I got her her first one like 20 some yrs ago spent about 10k. Reupped the center stone like 5 yrs ago and traded in old one and added about 20k to it. She done at this point tho lol
