I didn't. It was my first time voting in a presidential election and I just KNEW we was getting Bush remedial ass up outta there. The vote or die campaign, Kerry being compared to Kennedy plus the everybody in the community saying W wasn't shyt had 20 year old me thinking Kerry was a lock.:francis:
Respectfully you must have been up north. Because Jr was a wartime president and tbh that war invigorated the us economy. Wasn’t any way he was losing that. I feel like that campaign was a trial run for 08.

Imagine a one time senator like Tom Cotton getting elected. fukk I hate politics but I have to pay attention.

Welcome to the paradox we've allowed ourselves to believe. It's all "unimportant" - politics, childhood education, law, health, climate change, life itself - you're raised to think it's all somebody else's problem until it becomes deadly important and you're scrambling to just tread water.

Smarten up.

This is what made me stop voting. Then they get in and suddenly they can't do anything. If it was so important why aren't you doing anything to stop it in the future when you're in office?

I ain't no mark. Not falling for this.

Actually the total opposite. New Orleans the very bottom of the map. I didn't understand how a war could be a stimulant for the economy at the time, neither did the people around me. The sentiment was always " Republicans wanna bring back slavery" :yeshrug:

words have meaning. frequently improper use of a word perverts its meaning until it no longer has a definition.

:unimpressed:
Thats beside the point though, I’ve already said it’s marketed poorly.

If you gonna blame marketing as the reason you have fatigue, I’d say you weren’t really committed to the idea, just moving with the crowd.

I'd say the true important elections of this century was 2008, 2016, 2020 and 2024 will be the most important simply because an authoritarian that tried to overthrow the government to stay in power and stole classified documents absolutely cannot be allowed to return as President.
