Former track folk. have you guys implimented some of your old track workouts into your current workouts. i was thinking about going to the track and doing 10 200's and 5 100's and some diffrent plyos. i just felt in such great shape when i was doing track even if visually i wasnt at my best. i figured it would do nothing but help :ld:

Do good health clubs (not university) have indoor tracks? I could really use one

There is one here in my city that has an indoor track but its at a huge gym on the other side of town...I don't know what other big facilities there are in other cities that house an indoor track, but I would try calling around to certain gyms in your area to see if anyone might know

Runner here. Ran track and cross country in high school, was all conference in college cross country (D3 school though). But last college race was over 9 years ago though. Over the past 2 years I've really gotten back into running. I run 3 days out of the week, and lift 3 days. Did a few 5k's over the summer, but cutting back a little bit to focus on bulking. About once a month I try to make it to the track at the local university and do some sprint work. Not nearly as fast as I used to be, but then again, I am about 45 pounds heavier.

I rotate these...3 flyknit lunar 1, 2 fkyknit trainers, and a flyknit racer if indoors (no support!).

Life in seattle has helped a lot...good trails...but i run downtown almost exclusively and the HILLS here have made me a much stronger and conditioned runner...plus the rain has made me conditioned for all weather...i have mad waterproof and weather proof gear i had to bust it out today

:lawd: at those FlyKnits and :lupe: at using them to actually run in.

I'd love to cop a pair put them prices man......

....but to answer the OP question, I'm actually prepping for the NYC Marathon next month. about 31 days away. I've had ups and downs with training and trying to balance it with my gym schedule but i'm hyped to do it. This running shyt will change your life

Yep; every 2-3 weeks I'll run 16 200s and I work plyos in most of my workouts.

helluva running shoe collection you got there.

i honestly never wore running shoes until last summer, up until then i always did my roadwork in rundown jordans that i didn't wear anymore. i definitely feel the difference when i ran in running shoes, more comfortable, and less calluses on my feet.

Low key man...i stopped buying casual sneakers because i have a 100+ stock of those...and i actually use runners daily while if i get a new pair of SBs i wear em like...two three times a year...i get my moneys worth with running shoes

(not my pic)

:lawd: but these are the only shoes I have up since most of my stuff is packed as I move. I just ran a 10K two weekends ago. 36:23...I've also done some halfs in under 1hour and 25minutes. Mile time is 4:42. I know looking at my 10k and half time I should be around 4:30 for the mile but my speed sucks dikk :snoop:.Ran cross country in high-school, club team in college. Going to be running the Seattle Marathon December 1st.
