How many people work out not to get in great shape, but just to not get fat?

I gained weight over christmas and need to get in a better shape again.
I cant let these young hoes pass in the summer
I'll never ne able to have a sixpack tho cuz I was fat as a teenager :mjcry:

i gotta be more disciplined, go hard when im trying to lose, get down but end up burnt out and then start slacking in the gym and gain, repeat cycle. i think i'm gonna do some stupid shyt like orange theory just to keep active when i hit that burn out phase again. i salute yall who approach working out with hella intensity for years on end, i just cant sustain the go hard all the time

I mostly try to use it for a better way of dealing with some mental stress and anxiety, and it gives me a sense of routine. Being able to eat without dread is just an added benefit.:ehh:


The aesthetic portion for me is just a personal challenge/goal, I'm ugly gang I don't really get any social benefits from that. :yeshrug:
This is me. The main reason I work out is it keeps me mentally balanced. It keeps me in a great mood overall. Second is to balance out my bad diet. Third is just to try and get in shape. Even when I fall off from working out I still hit the gym 2-3 times a week.

Im also one of those guys who need the gym & a certain intensity there to keep me mentally balanced.
Dealt with some hard times & lots of bullshyt happening & the gym was (and course still is) one of the „resorts“ for me to keep me going
