We sang this every morning in addition to the actual national anthem at my private school in Brooklyn. But I’d never shame someone for not knowing it. The majority of white people cant even sing the American national anthem properly.

Sang it in church, and they also played it when I graduated from A&T. My cousin graduated from Livingstone College, and they also played it to start the commencement.

Know this shyt like the back of my hand because my third grade teacher forced us to learn it and sing it every damn morning.

It's fukked up, but I used to laugh during it because he had a HEAVY accent (I forgot where he was from) while also having a terrible singing voice.

Once he got to the part "facing the riiiiiisiiiiiiing suuuuuuuuuuuuuun" his voice would crack and I just can't hold it anymore.
