Alito and Thomas won't be on the bench much longer. I'd imagine both would consider retiring if Trump wins. They won't retire if Kamala wins but given that both have had health scares over the last 1-2 years it's not crazy to suggest they will be replaced before 2028 one way or another. Also worth noting Roberts has epilepsy and has fallen down stairs multiple times. That's 3 conservative judges who could potentially be replaced.

I would also hope that at least one liberal judge retires if Kamala wins, in order to replace them with a younger/healthier liberal.

Walz is great, but Harris got this base charged up and that's what matters the most for 2024.

If Walz was chosen as the Presidential candidate, the response wouldn't have been the same.

Walz made a great speech last night, but watch for Kamala's and you'll see why she's the next one up.

She just got all the main factors going for her: youth, glow and aura (Walz got this too), the right policies backing her, great intentions, etc.

Another big thing is she's a household name. Walz is great, don't get me wrong and if he's still healthy I think he'd make a great President. However, Kamala is clearly the best candidate to follow-up Biden. If the world were more stable, Walz would be great to keep it that way.
