This is facts

Originally Michael was NOT going to tour with his brothers. The brothers begged and pleaded and Michael said no. Joe threatened him and Michael said no. It took Katherine to convince him, he only did the Victory tour for HER sake.

Michael was also on the verge of quitting once they hired Don King as promoter. Michael HATED Don King and convinced the other brothers to fire him but they had already signed the contract.

Michael didn‘t want to call the tour “Victory Tour”. He wanted to call it “The Final Curtain” but was outvoted.

Near the end of the tour Michael announced live on stage that this would their final tour as a group, which shocked and angered the brothers.

also fact- Joe and Kate tried to convince Michael to take the brothers on the Bad tour but this time he and his manager Frank Dileo held firm

So they wanted Mike to carry their asses to huge success?? I cannot imagine the tension and resentment that built up in that family as Mike and then later Janet became so huge. The fact that Janet was able to make her own name is feat she should forever be celebrated for.

Well I wouldn’t say “carry” per say. Officially the tour was supposed to be in support of the Victory album (hence the name) but of course Thriller was crushing the buildings so most of the set list consisted of Thriller and Off The Wall tracks. All six of the brothers put in work for that tour its just Michael had already become THAT DUDE. It would be like Destiny’s Child going on tour together after Dangerously In Love dropped. Beyonce was already out of the stratosphere, now times TEN that for Michael.

Either way its the last tour Michael did with the brothers.

And maybe carry is a strong word but I think I'm right in assuming the other Jacksons wanted cross promotion from MJ to what they were doing. That's actually smart but only if MJ wanted to do it or volunteered to, not if he had to be emotionally blackmailed into it by his mother.
I know my Gram took my mom and my aunt to the Victory Tour when they were young so I'm gonna asked them how it was.

And I mean DC did go on tour after DIL and they did fine. They all got to sing songs from their solo projects as well as work from Destiny's Child. I'm assuming it's because everyone agreed to it including Bey with no problems.
