No God that created millions of Suns and the Universe would be pressed for the praise of a few humans that only live for 80 years .

And any creator who would be pressed for praise would definitely reveal himself.
1
Scriptures actually answer all these at one point he roasts humans to oblivion. If you think Dave Chappelle… HA! is funny no one has the sense of humor God does.

2
Humans love worshiping idols, things they can see with their eyes which is one of the many reasons he had to come down and imprison himself in the human body.

Kinda yes on the 2nd point.

I think if people were real with themselves they'd realize that they only chose the god they chose because they were born in ____ part of the world during the __ century.

Christians would not be Christians if they were born in Indonesia.

Muslims would not be Muslims if they had been born in Ancient Greece...

Etc...

It's just a popularity contest; and whichever deity is the most popular wherever you were born at the time is the "real" god.

There was a time when people actually believed that they had to pray to Poseidon before going on a sea journey. It was fact. Now, if someone tried to do that before embarkation, we would laugh in their face. Keeping in mind there was no discovery event which proved that Poseidon isn't god, but the Greek pantheon simply fell out of popularity and now is referred to as what.... mythology. What once was fact is know known to be nothing more than a myth.

Does an omniversal being exist? Who knows, maybe. Does an omniversal being who cares if I grease up my dikk and get myself off exist? C'mon, that shyt is absolute braindead nonsense.

You’re really not breaking new ground nor or you actually convincing me breh

Yes a lot of things in this life is by happenstance and geography. These are facts, but how does it in fact discount what we choose to pursue and follow?

And to call it braindead nonsense is really short-sighted, theres countless and countless examples of said religion/belief in god leading to folks actual liberation and salvation. Is it braindead in that instance as well?

Yes. That shyt is the definition of retarded. Doesn't mean you can't get something positive from it if faith is important to you.
Children behave all year because they think if they do, Santa Claus will bring them presents. I'd say that's a positive influence for sure, even though what they belive is literally retarded. :manny:

Just like there once existed a man named St. Nicholas of Myra aka Kris Kringle aka Santa Claus. And there's 1000 dudes named Jesus in South Phoenix right now. What does any of that prove?

That doesn’t disprove anything breh. Folks name those they love after people who’ve had a direct or indirect influence on their life all the time.

What I don’t get is, why the questioning and degradation of our intelligence has to be followed by your disagreement

It's not that they believe that's the problem; it's the way that religious zealots lambast us "nonbelievers" for applying critical thinking to a ridiculous story.
The same critical thinking that somehow applies to every other religion except for theirs.
That requires a level of intellectual dishonesty (aka stupidity) that I choose not to tolerate.

@MMS did you always believe in God and Jesus Christ or did you used to be an atheist when you were younger? Were you always a part of the Orthodox church?
