I don't see how the space-time continuum would exist at all without being formed by something/someone that can exist outside of space and time. Why is material reality even here? Why would there even be physical dimensions or matter within which anything else can occur? Something existing outside of spacetime can naturally be eternal (by its very definition), but material reality has to be created by something and is on a time continuum that you have to trace back to somewhere.

Plus I see a lot in Jesus's teachings (the real ones from the Bible and the early Church, not the corporatized rich church distortion) have wisdom and truth beyond mere human understanding.

Growing up my mom was into church but my dad didn't believe any of it, so I grew up basically ignoring all that. Decided to start following Jesus during college while I was seeking more meaning in my life than anything I had found in the secular world.

Yes. Can I prove to an atheist that God exists........no. I believe in God but I have come to the conclusion believers and nonbelievers want to be right and don't want to factor in where we are wrong. I guess it just boils down the respecting what people accept if they are not hurting anyone.

Edit. I think it was installed growing up.

yes. and as a child.

i hated going to church as a kid. I would be in there sunday morning, sunday night, & tues/thurs nights…long services too

and with revivals and conferences it was every day with services sometimes in the day and night. I grew up in the deep south pentecostal

maaan in the summer we practically lived at church. The only plus was all my cousins on my dad side went there and we were all around the same age. It was kinda like a family church

I went to church every Sunday with my family, got dropped off at bible school classes once a week when I was really young, but for as long as I can remember my brother and I never believed in god.

If you believe in God , you would also have to believe In all the other crazy stories like a dude living inside a whale or a guy living in an ark with every known animal....and that's just too much for me

Says who motherfukker? You can believe in God independent of all that other shyt. The odds of their being a "god"/"creator" are a lot greater than either of those scenarios.

Not necessarily the bible to me is allegorical stories that drive points of gods mercy and love. Half the stories in there are highly embellished and a lot of spiritual books were removed from the King James white man versions.

You don’t have to believe in those stories to know that god exist.
