How many more yrs do you think it'll take until video game gfx are indistinguishable from real life?

Due to uncanny valley, most games likely will never even try it. Maybe 1 will as a gimmick but I dont think it will become the standard

I just feel no matter how "real" something may look it will never look authentic if it's computer generated. I mean CGI movies can they even do it?

Real life lighting plus how humans move will be difficult to replicate even if you can get them to look real in still shots

I think for old non gaming people it's pretty damn photorealistic. I was playing Uncharted 4 and my mom thought she was watching a movie the whole time until she saw the button prompts on the screen.

The generation after next. Next gen 4k will be the standard and 8k will be the new thing.
