Same sort of energy of what we saying and this was another guy who felt setting up a union and having a couple of black writers have a podcast would make him at the forefront but it only highlighted the lack of diversity his own union found and his explination was bad
Truth is A LOT of media companies and CaC writers that have decided to follow the twitter model of highlighting and complain about diversity/social issues themselves do not do any better. I hate even using the term virtue signaling but thats kinda what it feels like. And Im sure theres obstacles in trying to be truly diverse (it probably involves giving more inexperience writers a larger platform and maintain equal pay even if they have to prove it but its not like it hasnt been done).
We'll see how long they'll talk about diversity before being asked to look inward.

And this is the other perspective about people leading the charge on these companies, a lot of it is CaCs on CaCs on twitter
Its hard to tell if these are valid claims or former employees with an axe to grind. Lot of the things that CaColyn lady wanna have a gripe with arent valid. She is right though about these companies exploiting black culture and work and a history of being problematic (especially in the 2000s all these companies like Vice too who now act like they are socially responsbile for exposing problematic people WERE and ARE those people)
But if Im a media company this is as valid a reason to get rid of the CaCs cause you end up with people like this who have exposed themselves
