He has? Doggystyle is his ONLY album worth mentioning, then you can say the Chronic. If anything he lives off of being a caricature of himself.

:snoop:

the chronic not even his album

lets be real snoop has made good albums since doggystyle never the level tho

the last meal,r&g,the blue carpet treament

nobody mentions Immobilarity,The Lex Diamond Story when talking about raekwon people mention ob4cl2 cuz of the 1st one

nothing matches ob4cl and his other solos are hit or miss, but people forget he was the strongest overall on Forever. Strong as hell on 36 chambers too.

in fairness, few rappers have gotten away with putting out the duds he put out all so we could hear the followup to OB4CL. OB4LC2 was great and in no way overrated, but yeah, Raekwon lived off that album for a long time.

i agree with this

i just feel people overrate ob4cl2 because he released it

Worst thread in message board history. Neg the fukk out of this 90's baby. Neg the fukk out of anybody in this thread that says OBFCL2 or Shaolin vs Wu-Tang was overhyped, neg the fukk out of anybody in this thread who says Immobilarity was trash. This board makes me sick at times

Rae has never spit a wack verse in his life.

You might want to check that Rza video where he talks about OB4CL, The Making. Rae can cook up a verse as fast as he can cook fried chicken.

No one mentions them now, but when Immobilarity dropped, it bashed and considered a true trash album. Lex Diamonds was viewed as better, but still not worth mentioning. These aren't Jay-Z albums which are loved early, then forgotten later; these were WTF is this ish you puttin out? Actually, it was said that if he didn't come with some heat next time, his career as a solo artist was pretty much done. He was viewed as someone that NEEDED RZA's guidance for a great album.

Answer: Infinity

It's no different than Jay Z with Reasonable Doubt or Nas with Illmatic. Classic debuts.

No. Are you seriously comparing Nas' career to Raekwon's? I love OB4CL and OB4CL2, but other than that his solo-career has been subpar. he has been on a hot streak since OB4CL2 again, though. Not much quality solo-material in the years between 1995 and 2005. Just saying... Chef is a legend though.

And are we really gonna act like he wasn't one of the best rappers of the legendary wu-tang clan?

With 2 undeniable classics under their belts and 3 other dope albums.

Which means that he has 4 undeniable classics, not a lot of people can top this in the rap game.
Dr. Dre, Ghostface, .. Scarface (?), Jay-z (?)
