Not very as long as my old system still kicking. Ps3 was Gucci till all the true DS3s died and the market was flooded with fakes. Became a struggle to play.

For me very important.

Reason being is I don't want to get rid of my last gen console when I've probably invested $3-5K (estimated) into my gaming library. The thing that pissed me off with the rollout of the PS4 was no B/C. Although, Sony thought introducing PS Now as a substitute would be a good idea. Not.

Yeah you can play old PS3 games and some PS2 games I believe but users can only rent games for a certain number of days. No way I was signing up for that. I don't understand why Sony could have made it where PS4 was B/C and digital games from PS3 could be transferred to PS4.

I still don't know why you can't purchase older games using your Microsoft balance or even get the free games you're awarded for having Gold....WITHOUT adding a fukking credit card?:mindblown: A quick log in on a 360 negates all this, but let's be frank, ain't everybody looking to keep a bunch of consoles around like me just to have to reach around this bullshyt hurdle.

:ohhh:I swear I wanted to download Portal since its free this month with gold but I said fukk it because of MS wanting my CC info until I saw this post. I connected my 360 and it worked :gladbron:

As long as everything going forward is bc with PS4 I'm good :manny:

Most of the good stuff from PS3 era has already been remastered to PS4.....and I honestly have no desire to go back further than that unless its retro gaming...NES, SNES/GENESIS era... which my phone and a dual shock 4 can already do.

very important. I keep every game that I've ever bought...but I can't keep every system hooked up t the same time. So it's nice when PS is backwards compatible.

Not important at all. I can probably count on 1 hand how many times I used BC on ps3. I don’t buy new consoles to play old games

It was more important when I was 17 in the ps2 era.

It wasn't important in my 360 era bc that was the GOAT gaming era to be in college with Halo, Gears, Live 06 to 2k9, various fight games from DBZ to Smackdown, plus the solo campaigns like Mass Effect, Skyrim, Fallout 3, etc. We were just occupied stayin up late playin the new ish.

Now that i'm 33 and gaming has slowed down for me to where i play maybe two AAA games a year, i honestly forgot all about the feature
