Ivy League schools are the end product of expensive private schools that charge 30, 40, even 60k a year for k-12 education. They routinely make up 30 to 40 percent of any given year and it's not going away ...

It’s terrible to look at the last class’ profile, see you are better than that class, and not get in to the school.

My Wife applied to Mercer law school in 2017. Mercer’s 2016 class profile was 3.4 GPA and 152 LSAT score. My Wife had a 3.5 out of undergrad, had a 4.0 post grad certificate for paralegal studies, scored a 156 on the LSAT and was rejected.

I blame the nepo babies and racism.

I told her she should have claimed to be “Latino” since our last name is Flores. Mercer is a straight white and black school. They would probably want the “diversity” with a few Spanish people in their class profile. We have to play the game to get ahead.

I begin to wonder tho...at what point do any of these parents question if the hassle or the money is worth what their kids get out of it....well not so much on the money part...wealthy people blow money on useless shyt without a care in the world all the time....I actually mean the quality of education

I tell people all the time here. I never met stupider people than in college and my eyes opened wide. And we dealing with it now. I went to dr 6x this year cuz i tell them theirs a issue and they wont believe me until its popping out my neck. Dr got mad at me and was tryna tell me “im the dr.. what are you”… she did not like my answer was > hers.

Oh yea! This shyt starts before your child is born. You get on waitlists before your child is born so you can interview while they are a toddler and get them placed in a top preschool/school by 3, 4, 5.

My school was preK-12. We literally had kids who were educated from like 3-18 at my school and were off to college. I came in from a different school for HS, but these schools are literal institutions. Now, the academic program was rigorous and we were doing college level work in HS, but it’s easy to get burned out before you even get to college if you are from a family/household that is big on education.

And the thing is…it doesn’t really matter. You can be a success coming from any school or background, but these folks in their elite enclaves want to remain amongst each other, and there is a direct path to power if that’s what you want for your child.
