The Ivy league grading curve is crazy for one
And they have all kinds of resources, both at the schools and privately if you're rich enough, to get dumb kids through
I worked at an ivy league school , doing work study work actually, while i went to a state school across town. I met plenty of unimpressive students at the ivy.
(To be fair I also met kids who literally locked themselves into the computer lab and studied the entire weekend straight, sleeping in there and all so ivy does have a lot of impressive students too)
We actually shared multiple professors and I knew some of the ivy kids struggling with topics those professors taught at my state school that were pretty straight forward to me

Just confirming what is common knowledge.

The degree is just a brand. There are some real morons who went to ivy league schools. You can buy your way into any room in America except MAYBE the white house(for now)

At the rate things are going, someone who is worth over 200B will finance their own campaign and outspend the competition. I believe Mark Zuckerberg will be the first person to try and do just that.

It's insane how parents set kids up to lose.

yeah the thing also too is for those people who come form generational poverty the first generation to "make it out" gets on that "ima be my kid best friend" and just spoils their kid and then gets shocked when their kids grow up lazy/or want to live a lax life and trick off what you built.

Im not saying you gotta be Joe Jackson but if you "make it" and choose to have kids, and don't have kids with a damn game plan with them to protect and grow what you built then don't be shocked at the outcome. It sone thing if you come up with a plan and the kids reject it and tell you specifically they want a different path then cool you adapt and re adjust but like I said this shyt is a marathon.

That's the point of developing communities, families, and individuals. Kids should be better than you.
That's not the point I was making in context with this thread. What you are saying is true. However, there are legacy students at prestigious schools who are not specials leap frogging over everyone in their career due to relationships.
