She never actually murdered anybody though. Worst she did was steal some clothes and beat up Vegeta (which almost everybody has done at some point).
He treated her like a human being, didn't cast judgement based on her future/alternate timeline counterpart's actions, and tried to save her from Cell along with removing the bomb from her chest. She grew to love him overtime because of it and they're probably either the best couple in DB Canon or 1B behind Bulma/Vegeta.

Naw Saiyans liked to be chased. Goku had to be tricked into sex and I bet Bluma slipped Vegata a Mickey.
Even if Trunks stayed in their timeline he would've never got with 18 given what happened to his friends and fam.
