i hope that NBC sports comes through and crushes the buildings. get all those journalist analyst and anchors who are motivated and really want to just report sports and not all the other nonsense.

ESPN truly needs a reality check. i havent watched NFL countdown in a few years and i struggle to watch sportscenter. only show i watch is around the horn and pti.

for actual analysis and breakdown of games i just go to the sports respective network

No Disrespect to Tom Jackson, Mike Ditka and Cris Carter, but the fact that they are the stars on that show just shows you that ESPN don't care about teaching viewers about the game.

ESPN's best NFL show is NFL Matchup and that shyt is on at 4:30AM EST in the morning and replays around 8-8:30.
Audibles is good too but they show that shyt once and no re-plays.

What's even more weird is the amount of push they give Baseball when NBA get more viewers and fans are starving for more coverage on the sport.

Unfortunately there really isn't an alternative out there. I tried watching NBC sports for their highlight show and it was awful. Haven't seen CBS sports yet, but I will give it a look.

I will say this, don't think these different networks will deviate that far from the ESPN model. It's profitable.

you are not supposed to like Stephen A Smith on first take. He's there to create conflict with whatever viewpoint that Skip Bayless has. and Vice-Versa.

You'll notice how once the whole Tebow machine really got going, Dana, Jay Crawford, Sage Steele and "Phat booty" Reischa Candidate asked to be re-assigned.


If Rush Limbaugh had made his mcnabb comment now(even though espn was wrong to fire him then), he'd still be working at ESPN because it would move the needle considerably.

I stopped watching First Take because of the Tebow crap, and Screamin A and Skip hating on everything. ESPN lost it a long time ago to me.

Why do you need to watch Highlights on ESPN? Quick pitch on The MLB Network is amazing and MLB Tonight with the live looks the whole night(they even have a rotation) is :ahh
