This is how he actually blew up. We tend to take everything we see on tv and in the movies as fact. Just as history influence and shape minds and sound and visual and imagine the impression that leaves:martin:

It's the reason why most who never physically saw the real malcom x at times if you mention his name will initially think of the iconic move starring Denzel Washington

Or if you don't know Ray charles you will initially think of Jamie fox and his portrayal

Even older charlton Heston in Ten Commandments I don't subscribe to any of that b.s.
But many first impressions and thoughts are of him as Moses and those things took place

The machine behind em that pushed him to the forefront this movie iconic producer Dr. Dre street Cred with a guy who got shot "9" times 50 it took a lot to solidify and get him accepted into some black people's homes and playlist rotations
But not mine:sas1:
Coulda just said "Eminem is a cac and I don't like him"
Would have had the same effect

Booth would love it if the lead was black
its the coli, there are always going to be multiple people that hated it and will make it seem like only white people liked it.... this place has some terrible as opinionated as people, that shyt was dope to me when it dropped and the battles were fun to watch fukk what these hating ass nikkas think.

The only thing worth watching is the battle scenes in the end. I could really care about his home or work life. Also lotto won in the second round.

It's up there as one of the best hip hop movies ...arguably the last real hip hop movie... Pretty much purple rain but replace the performances w battles...what movie portrays the battle rap scene as realistically as 8mile does? Dope soundtrack as well w good acting as well...all around solid movie, anyone who says otherwise is just saying so cuz it's cool to b on the "fukk that CAC eminem " bandwagon

:what: he was already as big as he ever got before 8 Mile came out. MMLP was the biggest selling first week in Hip Hop and almost in any genre.

Not according to Em..

and I love when the say that Tiger Woods shyt
"Isn't it ironic that the best rapper's white and the best golfer's black?"
and I'm the one who's gotta catch all the flack offa' that
but these are the people who never had heard of an Eminem until 8 Mile had came out
but I had already hit middle America
Parents had all got to likin' me now

And you're wrong, TES was the one that was the quickest selling album of the decade/hip hop history.

Myself
"The Marshall Mathers LP" kinda did jah set it off 4 him tho (Solo wise). But Eminem pretty much came out tha gate poppin, he was a white boy who could Rap. And not just Rap but Flow AND he had the whole West Coast with him (so to say).

"My Name Is" made him a household name but "Forgot About Dre" solidified him. After that performance people was on Em, everybody!

It's a good movie.

Can any lyricists in here pen a verse the rapper should have spat back at the end to reply to Em and win the battle?
