All of the lights is one of the most underrated joints in a long time cause it had all those pop stars featuring.
shyt was classic, lyrically, production wise, structure wise, both musical and vocal arrangements and all that.

But yea, it holds up beautifully, I called this album the Purple Rain of rap albums, I stand by it.

This thread just reminds me that hip-hop fans will never really appreciate an artist trying to be progressive in music...

Every other genre (besides maybe country) has a lane or an era where pushing boundries is the thing to do...Hip-Hop wants the same shyt OVER and OVER again

Except the album he put out just before was 808's and Heartbreak. If anything Dark Fantasy was his return from "trying too hard to be different and groundbreaking." And, oh, it's only called 'trying too hard' when you actually tried but failed. MBDTF is arguably the most renowned and acclaimed album (and not just rap either, but in music--period) of the 21st century.
