How does Dominos, Pizza Hut, Little Caesars, etc stay in business in NYC?

60 million people visit NYC every year. I'm sure tourists are eating at Pizza Hut and Dominos.

I'm sure thats readily identifiable by whether or not chain restaurants are located by tourist attractions. I can't imagine someone seriously going to experience NYC and ordering from a chain.

The mom and pop locations are much more tailored for tourists. You can order a slice or two, enjoy it, and be back on the street in the same amount of time it would take to order an entire pizza, wait for it to cook, and then what... go to your hotel??? FUKK THAT

shyt does not live up to the hype. Went to some spot in BK a couple years ago and that shyt was no better than Jets pizza. Chicago and Detroit style >>>>>>

As others have said it's mainly about price and advertising. A large plain pizza from my local shop is $20. But for $10 more, you can probably get 2 large pizzas with a topping or two and a side/soda at the chains. The chains always have deals.

Local is the way to go if you just getting 2-3slices..

The prices on a large pie with more than 1 topping be over $20..

You can get 2 medium 2 topping for like $5.99 each. At dominos.


Dominos and Pizza Hut ,Little Cesar's have the money to put ads on tv as well so you only know their deals.

Dominos i can get a large 5 topping pizza with extra sauce for like 12 & change on a carryout
A 5 topping large pizza from the local spot is going to run me high 20 or more

There is no way I’m choosing Taco Bell with the fillers in there “meat” over an official taqueria with fresh ingredients and spices.

Taco Bell tastes sterile and generic. I don’t think wang decent food for your money Is snobbish
