ATL, but rasied in DMV
If you get a pizza from Dominoes or Pizza Hut in my area, you won't even get sauce on it, especially if you get one of those specials. Those specials from Dominoes taste like a big round slightly buttered bread stick, with a little cheese. And I been stop getting specials from Pizza Hut, since the cheese has become practically liquid. I remember Pizza Hut was the best thing since sliced bread.

When I was younger, the dominos on 125th and morningside/convent use to be it. My girl and I at the time use to get lit and order that shyt at 11pm. Use to hit the spot everytime plus there wasn’t a ton of local spots like that to order from so chains were the wave.

Seriously why are they even in business in New York? :patrice:

So many times I would see a mom and pop pizza store that makes amazing pizza, and you'll see a Little Caesers across the street and everyone will rush over to that :gucci:

shyt is crazy :dwillhuh:

1. Cheap
2. Branding/Ad money
3. Standardized menu/taste. A hot & ready in Miami tastes exactly the same as one in Seattle.
4. Familiarity
5. Quick. Because of 1-4, you can get what you want with the shortest wait possible.

A lake near Tampa FL
Today for lunch I had Dominoes for lunch, 15 dollars for a medium pie w/ two toppings and 8PC boneless chicken :eat:

I wondered the same thing as OP but them deals be clutch, next to impossible to get a multiple topping pizza pie AND chicken on the side for 15 bucks in a mom and pop in Canarsie :francis:

BTW the chicken was underwhelming and didn't finish the chicken, ate the whole pizza though :mjpls: Should have gotten BBQ or plain wings :snoop:

I asked my Mexican from Brooklyn what her favorite pizza is and she actually said Domino's. It's cheap and I guess that 1st generation New Yorkers are less likely to have an emotional attachment to New York pizza.
She probably thinks chipotle is decent “Mexican”. There’s always people everywhere that don’t have any taste.

Look at the reviews on this dominoes closest to me vs the reviews on Rocco pizza. It’s not even close. And everyone whose orig bed stuy residents know Rocco pizza.

Domino's Pizza
(917) 909-6464

Rocco Pizza
(718) 218-9200

The majority of New Yorkers ain’t rating domino’s pizza.
