Tony's!!!
:whew:
That is my spot
They have the jerk chicken pizza...
:noah:
Edit: I'd also go there for the fish sandwhiches with the sauce.
its a Panamanian brother behind the counter most the time taking orders. the jerk chicken at Tonys on a good day is better than the Jamaican spots.

Tonys is my baseline for pizza. not the best but a decent standard of NY style pizza. Venture not too far from crown heights to spots like Fini pizza or Brooklyn home slice for that true top tier slice

The best mom and pop pizza I had was the pizza shop in Canarsie on Ave L and Joe's Pizza (various locations in Manhattan). They got four and a half stars out of five on Google you know a restaurant is dope when it has 4.5 out of 5 rating on google :pachaha:

It depends on the era. NY pizza has gone downhill since the 200x+ in years by owners cheapening out on ingredients( a lot of them have gone to provolone/mozzarella blends), getting sloppy with the technique, charging high prices for meh-to-shyt pizza since midwest transplants think that thin slice pizza is automatically fire even when it's terrible.

The ranking of ny pizza tiers : Good neighborhood spots > Chains like Sbarro/other pizza joints like it > Chains like dominos/pizza hut/little caesar > costco pizza > meh pizza joints that have gone downhill from being good > bad pizza joints that sell slop to tourists in Manhattan. Times Square pizza was straight :scust:last time I had it in 2013, and I heard it's gotten even worse.

Not getting preachy, but if you have a good neighborhood spot who isn't cheapening out or driving the place to the ground, support them. If not, chain pizza is better to support than tourist slop and provolone pizza.

She probably thinks chipotle is decent “Mexican”. There’s always people everywhere that don’t have any taste.

Look at the reviews on this dominoes closest to me vs the reviews on Rocco pizza. It’s not even close. And everyone whose orig bed stuy residents know Rocco pizza.

Domino's Pizza
(917) 909-6464

Rocco Pizza
(718) 218-9200

The majority of New Yorkers ain’t rating domino’s pizza.

Yeah I know most people aren't gonna pick Domino's over a real pizzeria in terms of taste, but Domino's is usually cheaper and open later so I see why people get it. Or just bad taste, like you said.

Today for lunch I had Dominoes for lunch, 15 dollars for a medium pie w/ two toppings and 8PC boneless chicken :eat:

I wondered the same thing as OP but them deals be clutch, next to impossible to get a multiple topping pizza pie AND chicken on the side for 15 bucks in a mom and pop in Canarsie :francis:

BTW the chicken was underwhelming and didn't finish the chicken, ate the whole pizza though :mjpls: Should have gotten BBQ or plain wings :snoop:
negged for eating dominoes cardbored pizza and boneless wings. that piza better been a personal pan the only edible thing on the menu

Ny style pizza really aint shyt special:manny:
I can tell you never been no where official talking about “NY style”.

I’ve eaten pizza everywhere from Detroit to New Haven, to Italy. There’s more pizzarias in NY than people in some places so if you went to the right spots in NY you wouldn’t be saying this.

1 large pizza from most mom and pops 15-20+ dollars

4 basic pepperoni pizzas from Little Caesars is a little over 20 dollars

You have a family of 4-5, it's an easy economic choice for many, even if Mom and Pop pizza tastes 2000% better.

edit

Place near me

Two Large 16'' Pizzas with One Topping
$28.99

That's 5 pizzas from LC

I like NY pizza but sometimes you just want a stuffed crust or a bunch of pizzas for a party that won't be 15 bucks a pie.

Politics as Usual
Like many people said advertising and better deals

They be offering shyt like a large pizza, breadsticks, soda for like $15 , meanwhile mom and pops u get a large pizza only for $15…

It’s like I had way better chicken from local spots but they not offering a wingstop big deal where u get 2 large fries, 3 orders of 10 boneless wings and a drink for $20

Most people don't eat pizza at that level to care...

Dominos/papa John's works fine for most

The superbowl is the only time I go out my way to eat pizza..

Seriously why are they even in business in New York? :patrice:

So many times I would see a mom and pop pizza store that makes amazing pizza, and you'll see a Little Caesers across the street and everyone will rush over to that :gucci:

shyt is crazy :dwillhuh:

The brainwashing of corporate advertising is a real thing.
