Doing it 2 times on different stages of the day it helps for me

Also helps if it's in different places, your brain will think you are a pro runner and next day you will wake up on go

Damn Iam a genius, anyone feel free to donate me for this gem I dropped

I'm like you OP, the boredom overtakes me a bit and I get real uncomfortable to stay in one spot for 30 minutes on a treadmill, I work with an older girl who runs all the time and she invited me to run so this week I ran with her outside 2 times for an hour each day and it was easier with company and running by a river.

No Whammies!!
I'm trying to motivate myself to run 2 miles afternoon work almost every day. I really to get back into running.

Strava has a free trial of the paid "Summit" pack. I signed up for it, and the "Fitness" analysis graph (based on your tracked runs) shows that my fitness had dropped off a cliff this year.

why are you adamant about running? too many other ways to increase cardio vascular endurance, with less stress to the joints, that can be more enjoyable. i hate running, indoor, outdoor, doesn't matter, anything longer than a lap (400m) i get pissed off, straight aggie, altho i fukk with sprints/hills (can't do stairs, have a fear of falling :heh: ), so i've just concluded running won't be one of my cardio activities :ld:

edit: if you do want to keep to it, i think the peloton app is pretty good with instructor led runs (treadmill and outdoor) that are engaging

sprints, incline walking, spin, rowing, jump rope, circuits with shyt like burpees/squat jumps/mountain climbers >>> running

I've been hitting the treadmill but that shyts dead.

Running outside is the GOAT, my problem is shin splints. I'm a big dude, 6' 275lbs, so you can imagine the stress

Are there some good running shoes I can invest in?

Ultraboosts are my favorite for running. I actually bought a second pair this week. The 3.0s and 4.0s, not the 19s:gag:

As far as the topic title goes, cardio is the glue that puts my all-around athletic physique together. I see alot of people shunning cardio these days and we know the reason for that:flabbynsick: I don't like the treadmill, getting out there on the trail or streets in real time is the business. I also can't help but feel a little gassed up whenever a woman asks what sport I play because of my runners physique:ohlawd: even though I only do it once a week.

I just get up and do it - and no, I'm not trying to be a smartass.

I fukking hate running. shyt is boring and tiresome (especially after weights) but I know it's a necessity (and that's what I keep telling myself, even when I want to quit early).

Usually I envision all my sloppy ass friends and my legs/calves immediately get a boost of power on some Juugo shyt lol

Did 65 minutes on the treadmill today. You gotta learn to love it.
