rib eye should be cooked medium because of the extra fat on it and everything else is medium rare. my favorite is a medium bone in rib eye with bearnaise sauce:banderas::wow:

anyone ordering well done in front of me will get the:camby:i hate that.

Medium ribeye is OK, but IMO it’s best when medium rare. Most like ribeye medium rare.

The extra fat is the best part of the steak. If you want a flavorful cut of steak you WANT the cut to be heavily marbles with fat...

People who "say" this don't know how to cook a well done steak properly. Also the particular cut of beef is a factor in having a good well done steak, as some cuts are better suited for well done steaks than others.

I can cook steak properly, and bro... well done sucks... you might as well eat a leather jacket.

4 minutes of high heat on one side in a buttered skillet, sea salt and pepper, 3 minutes on the other. In the oven for however long it takes scramble some eggs, to clean the stove top, do dishes and pour a red. :blessed:

Medium to medium well....especially for fatty cuts.

The leaner cuts...filets etc...might fare better rarer. I need to NOT see obvious blood on my plate....I can see brownish juice even slightly pink...but never blood red. This is the reason I mastered my own steak preparation, and rarely order steak in eateries. I know exactly how to cook my thick cut steaks....it falls in a specific realm (medium rare-medium.) Save myself the hassle and hunger pains of returning and waiting on a perfect steak. Order the lamb and call it a night.
