My advice.... don't worry about gaining muscle until the summer is over. Lean out now and just try and hold on to what you have. Then build for next summer once this summer is over.

Keep your reps and weights as close as possible and just reduce your sets. That's the best way to know how well you are preserving muscle
Exactly! Intensity is the top priority. From there it's reps. And from there it's overall volume. Change as little as possibleYup. That’s the route to be skinny fat is to stop placing that demand on the muscles
